I am so pleased to have joined the Hood team here in Scotland. For over 15 years, I’ve worked in women’s lifestyle media in London, starting as an assistant at Red before spending over five years as an editor at SheerLuxe, and later leading the team as Editor of The Handbook – where I remain as a Contributing Editor.
A relocation to Glasgow a few years ago brought me north, and I’m thrilled to share my love of fashion and culture with you all. In the spirit of Fashion Month and the new season, I’ve curated the pieces high on my A/W wishlist. Get ready for cosy jackets, effortless layering, and the glorious return of boot season…
“Sézane’s knits are worth every penny. The dramatic scarf detail on this takes cosy to the next level. ”
While this Massimo Dutti slip feels inherently summery, I love layering lighter pieces with richer, wintery fabrics as we head into the chiller months. I’m imagining this with a fine polo neck underneath (Uniqlo is my go-to), with knee-high slouchy boots and a long trench. It would also be brilliant over tailored trousers or straight-leg denim in the evening with something fabulous like a brooch or statement earrings.
“I have more suede in my wardrobe than I care to admit, but I just love that cool late-‘60s, early-‘70s vibe it gives. This M&S bomber gets full marks. ”
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect tux blazer for a while, and I think this ME+EM number might just be it. It’s such a good piece to have in your arsenal when you want to look polished instantly, even if it’s just thrown over jeans and a white tee.
