Danish Designer Brand Rains Lands in Glasgow

The Glasgow weather just got a little more stylish. RAINS, the cult Danish outerwear brand known for its contemporary rainwear and minimalist design, has opened the doors to its very first Scottish store—bringing its neo-Scandi aesthetic to the heart of Merchant City.

Located at 203 Ingram Street, the 100-square-metre flagship is an urban haven for those who don’t let a little drizzle ruin their look. The space fuses clean, modern design with the creative vibrancy of Glasgow, celebrating the city’s renowned art and design culture.

RAINS has been redefining wet-weather gear since its first London opening in 2018. Now operating three stores in London and one in Dublin, alongside partnerships with Selfridges, Harrods and Fenwick, the brand has become a byword for function-meets-fashion.

From waterproof trenches to design-led bags and accessories, the Glasgow store delivers the full RAINS edit—just in time for Scotland’s most unpredictable season. Seasonal drops sit alongside the brand’s iconic silhouettes, crafted with a signature coated fabric that’s both technical and timeless.

“It’s exciting to launch in a city with such a strong cultural landscape,” says co-founder Daniel Brix Hesselager. “RAINS is a brand born at design school—Glasgow’s creative energy felt like the perfect fit.”

The store is now open. Expect waterproof essentials, refined detailing, and rainwear that feels right at home in the UK’s second-rainiest city.
