Highland Chocolatier

Choose a sweet-faced Easter Chick, £15.95, made with couverture milk chocolate with natural notes of caramel, hand-dusted in pink and perched on a nest of milk chocolate mini eggs. The Highland Chocolatier is Iain Burnett who trained under Master Chocolatiers of the French, Belgian and Swiss schools to develop his own unique style of chocolate making in Perthshire’s Grandtully. Chocoholics should make a visit to this chocolaty heaven, just off the A9, to enjoy a glimpse (and a taste) of the delights in the store or perhaps book a Chocolate Tasting Flight for the ultimate tastebud sensation.

Quirky Chocolate

Quirky Chocolate was dreamt up in 2008 when graphic designer Sandra Colamartino found a way to combine her two favourite things – beautiful design and delicious chocolate. Since then she’s been creating beautifully personalised chocolate bars in her small workshop in Edinburgh. We love this little Easter Fashion Week Bar, £7.50, as it’s perfect for the fashion lover in your life. Choose your flavour, add a personal message and the letterbox friendly chocolate gift can be delivered for you.

chocolatia

Chloe Oswald refined her pastry skills for several years, under the expert eye of the chefs in the two Michelin-starred restaurants Andrew Fairlie and Gleneagles. She took this experience and combined it with her love of chocolate to start her own business. Her beautiful creations, like this hand-painted Hazelnut Thistle Egg, £36, are almost too good to eat but we aim to try. Pre-order before 25th March for a most beautiful Easter gift.

James of arran

Located on gorgeous Isle of Arran in southern Scotland, the Arran Chocolate Factory has been producing the finest quality handmade chocolates for over 20 years. The Brodick based company has made a name for itself by creating beautifully presented high quality chocolates made using no less than 54 per cent cocoa solids. We love this indulgently large Happy Easter Chocolate Bar, £19.99, because it’s as beautiful as it is good to eat.

Fisher & Donaldson

Technically not a chocolatier and more of a baker but we had to sneak in the now much-lauded Fisher & Donaldson Fudge Donut Chocolate Easter Egg somehow. It’s back and it is true indulgence. Available to order in any Fisher & Donaldson stores now for an Easter pick up. Fisher & Donaldson stores can be found in Cupar, St Andrews and Dundee.

The Cocoa Bean Company

The Cocoa Bean Company was founded in 2005 by Claire Beck. With a passion for chocolate and a background in product development, she began making chocolates in her kitchen, using her AGA to melt chocolate. What started as a hobby soon became a business in its own right and outgrew her kitchen and led to the creation of a destination purpose-built chocolate factory complete with visitor centre and play area. It’s hard to pick a favourite but who wouldn’t care to try this Drippy Easter Egg, £24.95, made from Oreos?
