El Perro Negro Brings Its Cult Breakfast Club to Edinburgh

Award-winning burger joint launches flavour-packed breakfast at Bonnie & Wild

Mornings in Edinburgh just got seriously better. Glasgow’s award-winning burger institution El Perro Negro is bringing its cult Breakfast Club to the capital — landing at Bonnie & Wild in St James Quarter this Saturday 15th November.

After the sell-out success of its monthly Breakfast Club pop-ups in Glasgow, El Perro Negro is now setting up every Saturday and Sunday from 9am–12pm, serving a breakfast that’s big on flavour, full of personality, and unapologetically indulgent.

This isn’t your average brunch. Expect soft toasted muffins piled high with juicy sausage patties, perfectly fried eggs, melted cheese, and golden tater tots on the side. It’s breakfast, done the El Perro way — bold, comforting and built around the very best Scottish produce.

On the menu:

  • Sausage Breakfast Muffin – double sausage, egg and cheese

  • Haggis Breakfast Muffin – sausage, haggis, egg and cheese

  • Black Pudding Breakfast Muffin – sausage, black pudding, egg and cheese

  • Symplicity Breakfast Muffin – meat-free Symplicity patty, egg and cheese (veg)

Each muffin comes stacked and served with crispy tater tots (and yes, you can order extra — because there’s no such thing as too many tater tots). Pair your breakfast with a freshly poured flat white or Americano from Bonnie & Wild’s bar and you’ve got yourself the perfect weekend ritual.

Breakfast Club took off in Glasgow way beyond what we ever expected!” says founder Nick Watkins. “So bringing it to Edinburgh was the obvious next step. We’ve kept it simple and made sure it’s packed with the same flavour and attention to detail as everything else we do. It’s breakfast done the El Perro way.

The Breakfast Club at Bonnie & Wild launches this weekend and runs every Saturday and Sunday, 9am–12pm. Walk-ins are welcome, but early birds will win this one — these muffins won’t hang around for long.
