If health is on the menu for you this January, then this Edinburgh foodie favourite is the place to visit… With a selection of delicious healthier and lighter dishes now available at The Ivy on the Square, you can still enjoy a meal out with friends or date night, without the worry of destroying the diet.

Available to order from now until Spring 2020, The Ivy on the Square’s lighter menu includes a selection of dishes from the à la carte, vegetarian and vegan menus, all just that bit healthier, to give you a flavourful and indulgent dining experience without worrying about the calories.

Team Hood loves the sound of the miso-glazed chicken salad (a special dish only available until 28 January), and the avocado and tomato cocktail, where our favourite brunch ingredient is served with red pepper, tomato, lettuce and pomegranate, dressed in a deliciously spicy harissa sauce.

For a more exotic flavour, try a jackfruit and peanut bang bang salad, packed with flavour and including chayote, Chinese leaf, mooli, crispy wonton, peanuts, sesame seeds and coriander, or the tossed Asian salad, a warm salad of beansprouts, pak choi, watermelon, broccoli, cashew nuts, sesame seeds and coriander, with hoisin sauce.

You can also enjoy a selection of healthier and lighter drinks, including smoothies, cocktails, and low- and no-alcohol cocktails. Those on a health kick will love the green juice or the mixed berry smoothie, to pack in your five-a-day in one quick fix. Or those with a sweeter tooth can enjoy The Ivy’s homemade Ginger Beer, or a deliciously fresh peach & elderflower iced tea. If you’re partaking in Dry January, the ‘Nogroni’ is a great choice to pack in maximum flavour without the booze - and if you’re not, Team Hood are big fans of the Clean Clover Club cocktail, a seriously refreshing sipper to savour.

The lighter menu is now available at The Ivy on the Square, Edinburgh EH2 2BD.
