If 14 February has crept up on you, this is your reminder that there are still a few excellent things still available. Squire at Fairmont St Andrews is hosting a Valentine’s Champagne Brunch tomorrow, 1pm to 2.30pm, and if you’re quick there is limited availability.
On arrival, guests are welcomed with Perrier-Jouët Champagne before taking their seats for a buffet designed to feel truly indulgent. The champagne brunch is £85 per person, including four glasses. A virgin option is available at £70 per person.
The brunch at the Fairmont is always a man event. With a starter spread that covers seafood, cured meats and salads, from hot smoked salmon and gravadlax to oysters, tiger prawns and a live stations. The carving board features roast striploin of Tweed Valley beef and salmon en croûte, while mains range from baked Grampian ham and roast chicken with Stornoway black pudding to smoked Finnan haddock and a vegetarian tandoori celeriac. Sides include cauliflower cheese, hasselback potatoes and roasted roots.
Dessert is a full buffet in its own right, lemon meringue, raspberry cheesecake, vegan chocolate cake and a Scottish cheese selection among them.
Alongside brunch, ROX Diamonds and Thrills will host a pop up with personalised jewellery styling and a curated edit of designs. Each guest receives a £150 ROX voucher to redeem throughout February on purchases over £500.
Champagne, diamonds and a coastal setting. If you are going to make a last minute Valentine’s plan, this is a strong one.
