Laura Bond Launches Henna-Inspired Gold Earrings
A new collection from Laura Bond, created with artist and content creator Sanna Adams, translates the detail and symbolism of henna into solid gold pieces designed to be worn every day.
Launching today, this is a collection grounded in identity rather than decoration. Personal, considered and quietly expressive, it reflects a shared understanding of jewellery as something instinctive, not trend-led.
Laura Bond’s latest release marks a clear evolution for the brand. Created in collaboration with Sanna Adams, the collection draws directly from the visual language of traditional henna, reworking its intricate patterns into fine gold jewellery that sits close to the skin.
For Sanna, the starting point was always personal. Jewellery is not an afterthought, it is part of how she defines herself.
“Jewellery, for me, is identity and celebration. It’s the final expressive touch that makes me feel most like myself. As someone who is Scottish and South Asian, yellow solid gold holds deep cultural meaning for me too.”
That cultural weight runs through the entire collection. The motifs are familiar, flowing curves, florals and paisley shapes typically traced across hands and wrists, now rendered in solid gold. Studs, small hoops and delicate drops are designed to layer easily, building a look that feels individual rather than prescribed.
The translation from temporary to permanent is deliberate.
“That link feels important to me,” Sanna explains. “I style myself and apply henna as a form of self expression, and these pieces continue that same language, just in a different material.”
For Laura, the collaboration offered a way to explore a different jewellery tradition while staying true to her own design approach. The influence of South Asian jewellery is clear, not just in the detailing, but in the attitude to how pieces are worn.
“I’ve always been drawn to the richness and symbolism of South Asian jewellery, the texture, the storytelling, the way every detail feels intentional. Collaborating with Sanna on this collection was a dream.”
The relationship between the two began organically, with Sanna previously modelling for the brand. What followed was less a formal partnership, more a natural extension of a shared perspective.
“We’d worked together before and stayed in touch,” Laura says. “We both love jewellery in the same way, so creating something together felt completely natural.”
It lands as a collection with real clarity. Not decorative for the sake of it, but considered, personal and built to last.
