Your Summer Dress Code, Served

Three Wimbledon-inspired looks that work just as well for garden lunches, city plans and every polished date in the diary.
There is something about Wimbledon style that always feels right at this point in summer. Not because we are all dressing for Centre Court, but because the mood it captures — crisp whites, easy tailoring, classic stripes and polished accessories — translates so well beyond the tournament itself.
And while Wimbledon wraps with the finals this coming weekend, the style conversation around it still feels especially strong this year. Japan’s Naomi Osaka has delivered some of the chicest on-court fashion moments of the tournament, while British Wildcard, Arthur Fery, making it through to the second week has given the home crowd another reason to stay invested. It all adds to that familiar Wimbledon appeal: elegant, sporty and just elevated enough.
The beauty of Wimbledon dressing, though, is that the best versions are not really about SW19 at all. They are about outfits that work for the rest of your summer too — for lunches, graduations, weekends away and those occasions when you want to look smart without feeling overdressed. With that in mind, we asked three of The Hood Collective to show us their dream Wimbledon looks, and each one doubles as a brilliant blueprint for the season ahead.
Moira’s Look: The White Dress, Sharpened Up
Moira takes the classic white summer dress and makes it feel instantly elevated. Just adding a sleek pinstripe blazer adds structure and just enough polish to stop things feeling too pretty. Neutral accessories create the perfect finish for Wimbledon and beyond - perhaps a graduation lunch or a summer garden party.

Christie’s Look: The Modern Shirt Dress
Christie’s striped mini shirt dress is court-side perfection. Just pull-on, add in some black accessories, and go. It is exactly the kind of one-and-done dress that works just as well for a city lunch or weekend away as it would for a day at SW19.

Nicola’s Look: The Statement Stripe
Nicola’s striped maxi dress brings movement and drama (especially on a windy summer’s day), while the cream blazer keeps everything feeling sharp. Finished with a woven bag straight from Mallorca and pared-back sandals, it lands in that sweet spot between classic and fashion-aware — the kind of look that feels just as right for a smart lunch meet-up as it would for a day at SW19.
