Feeling in the mood for l'amour? Then you'll love what's happening at The Ivy on the Square this Valentine's

If you’re making plans for Valentine’s, and want something seriously special for your celebrations, then one of our favourite hotspots, Edinburgh’s The Ivy on the Square, might just be the picture-perfect place.

Love is mostly certainly in the air on St Andrew Square, as the Ivy brasserie has been adorned with an eye-catching floral installation, named ‘Love Promises’, inspired by the iconic Pont des Arts bridge in Paris. The stunning display of pink and red roses adorning the entrance includes an area where guests are encouraged to place their very own ‘Love Promises’ padlocks, a romantic gesture gifted to diners who enjoy the restaurant’s Valentine’s Day dessert at the end of their meal.

And of course, there’s a selection of special dishes and drinks available too, to help you celebrate your love in style. The Valentine’s dessert ‘Roses are Red, Berries are too’ is a sumptuous white chocolate cheesecake with raspberries and strawberries, designed to share and available from 13-16 February. Plus, there’s two romantic cocktails to enjoy too, using the delicious Lanique Spirit of Rose liqueur. We love the sound of the Rose Fizz, adding Ivy Collection Champagne to the liqueur, or for an elegant take on a classic, the Rose Petal Martini, with Lanique, Plymouth Gin, lychee juice and Peychauds Bitters. Too good to share, even with your soulmate!
