Five minutes with... Flo Millar

We caught up with our gorgeous October cover girl, Flo Millar, to find out how she got started in modelling, what her favourite piece of clothing is, and which trends she’ll be wearing this A/W.

When did you first become interested in fashion?

I actually became way more interested in fashion after I started modelling! Working in the industry definitely forces you to become way more involved in it all. Now I can’t stop shopping...

What’s your favourite piece of clothing - past or present?

My favourite piece of clothing I’ve ever owned has to be my Burberry leather jacket. It’s super cool with loads of gold zips and I wear it everywhere.

Which one item do you think every woman should have in her wardrobe?

Every woman should have a pair of cool boots in her wardrobe. My favourites are the chunky sole Doc Martens - I live in them all year round and wear them with everything.

Tell us more about your modelling career – how did you start out and what have been your highlights so far?

I started modelling when I was approached by a photographer at my university. I was probably three pints in when he asked me to do a shoot with him, so I agreed! I was contacted by Colours Agency in Glasgow not long after, then signed with them and Elite Worldwide.

The highlight of my career has definitely been walking as an exclusive in the Burberry show (September 2016). I’m quite short so it was never something I expected to be able to do! Being shot by Annie Leibovitz for American Vogue is definitely up there too.

Which trend will you be wearing this A/W?

Trends I’m into this A/W... definitely loving that animal print is back, (who isn’t?!) and faux leather. I just bought my first pair of leather-look trousers this week and already know they’re going to be a staple in my winter wardrobe.
