Gracie at the Grammy’s

She may not have won the Grammy for Best New Artist but Gracie Abrams certainly stole the spotlight last night, radiating elegance and style on the red carpet. Her captivating presence was a harmonious blend of fashion-forward choices and undeniable confidence, making a lasting impression.

We spoke to CHANEL makeup artist Tyron Machhausen about his inspiration for last night’s look

‘My inspiration for Gracie’s makeup look was Gracie herself and her CHANEL outfit – it was so fabulous, with the almost tux-like bustier, and the beautifully layered, playful, floor-length skirt.

‘I felt a masculine-feminine dynamic looking at her in this outfit and wanted to translate this into the makeup by creating something that felt chic, yet uncomplicated. I wanted to create a fresh and natural look, with glowy skin, combined with a strong brow, and a hint of “leftover” eyeliner. This created a hyper-natural, “lived in” look with a hint of rock ’n roll.’

Can you share any tips on how we can recreate at home?

‘To create a gorgeous, sun-kissed complexion, I focused the blush application on the apples of the cheeks. I applied a bit of CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Winter Blush in Rose Polaire and Corail Givré across the bridge of the nose, the temples, the chin, and the forehead.’

Gracie’s nails were equally chic, CHANEL nail artist, Betina Goldstein shares her inspiration…

‘I was inspired by Gracie’s outfit and thought the rich, deep plum hues of CHANEL Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in Oiseau de Nuit added the perfect note of color to complement her look.’

How can we achieve the look at home?

‘First, I applied CHANEL Sublimage L’Extrait Intensive Repair-Oil Concentrate onto Gracie’s hands. Then, I applied CHANEL Sublimage La Crème Texture Universelle Ultimate Cream to provide a luminous, healthy glow. I finished her nail look by applying CHANEL Le Banc Huile Healthy Light Creator Oil onto her cuticles.’
