ALIGNE Is Coming to Scotland: Here’s What We’re Shopping at John Lewis
The fashion editor favourite is arriving at John Lewis in Edinburgh and Glasgow next week.
Already an ALIGNE convert? Good news. Never heard of it? Even better. The London label known for excellent tailoring, denim and dresses is arriving at John Lewis Edinburgh and Glasgow, and we suspect you’re going to like it.
There are some brands that seem to understand exactly what women actually want to wear, and ALIGNE has become one of them. If the name is new to you, consider this your introduction.
The East London-based womenswear label has built a devoted following around strong tailoring, excellent denim and dresses that manage to feel fashionable without being remotely intimidating. Its now-signature waisted blazers are particularly good, as are the sculptural denim pieces and interesting separates that do rather more than your average basic.
Until now, however, buying ALIGNE in Scotland has largely meant knowing your measurements and trusting the delivery driver. That changes next week when the brand arrives in John Lewis stores in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, giving Scottish shoppers the chance to see, feel and, crucially, try the clothes on before committing.

The timing is particularly good. ALIGNE’s Fall 26 collection has just landed, leaning into the things the brand does best: relaxed but properly cut tailoring, strong silhouettes, denim and useful separates.
The current collection includes the double-breasted Daphne blazer, brushed wool knitwear, satin shirting and new-season dresses, while the denim Monroe dress was a hit at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
The Saffron satin shirt, with its knotted fastening and beautifully fluid shape, has gone straight onto our list, particularly in navy. Ditto the Millicent satin trousers, also in navy, which make a very good case for wearing the two together. It’s an easy, elegant combination that could handle the office, dinner and most things in between without looking as though you’ve tried terribly hard.
That, really, is where ALIGNE gets it right. These are clothes with enough fashion about them to feel interesting, but not so much that you wonder what possessed you six months later. The silhouettes are considered, the details earn their place and there is a useful grown-up quality to the whole thing.
And now we can actually try them on.
