Glow Restored: H Beauty x Look Good Feel Better

At H Beauty’s charity launch with Look Good Feel Better, makeup artist Hannah Martin proved that the right products can do more than create a look, they can restore confidence.

H Beauty has redefined the beauty hall experience in Scotland with its glossy destinations at St James Quarter, Edinburgh and Silverburn, Glasgow. Bringing together luxury and cult brands under one roof, it’s already a go-to for beauty lovers. Now, with its new partnership with Look Good Feel Better—the only UK cancer charity dedicated to boosting confidence and wellbeing through skincare and makeup workshops—it has added purpose to the polish.

Look Good Feel Better has been running for 30 years, offering practical, hands-on support to people undergoing cancer treatment. Their workshops, held online and in hospitals across the UK, cover everything from skincare tips to makeup techniques for rebuilding brows and lashes. The aim is simple but vital: helping people facing cancer recognise themselves in the mirror again.

At the launch event in H Beauty’s new Silverburn branch, celebrity makeup artist Hannah Martin demonstrated a skin-first look on Kirsty, a patient whose hair, brows and lashes are just beginning to grow back post-chemotherapy. Her approach was about radiance, comfort and confidence rather than camouflage.

She began by applying a skin essence to give products something to grip to, then layered Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex (£89), used morning as well as night to give skin a hydrated glow. To protect and perfect, Charlotte Tilbury Invisible UV Flawless Poreless Primer (£40) blurred pores while adding high-factor sun protection.

For foundation, Hannah kept things light with Hourglass Illusion Luminous Glow Foundation SPF30 (£58), applied sparingly through the centre of the face and blended out for natural radiance. Under-eye shadows were neutralised with a peachy corrector from Huda Beauty (£26), followed by Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer (£29.50). To hold everything in place without dulling the finish, she swept on Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder (£38.50).

Warmth and shape came courtesy of Guerlain Terracotta The Bronzing Powder (£48), applied not just to cheekbones but under the chin and across the forehead to ensure a seamless, sun-kissed effect. A pop of Huda Beauty Blush Filter Liquid Blush (£24) in a cool pink tone created a healthy, natural flush.

Brows were softly rebuilt using Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (£23) in soft brown, with feathery strokes drawn from the top for a lighter touch. Hannah then defined Kirsty’s eyes with a brown eyeliner like the Estée Lauder Smoke & Brighten Kajal Eyeliner Duo (£29), softened into the lash line, and finished with Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extension Mascara (£32), a tubing formula ideal for delicate new lashes. A nourishing slick of lip oil completed the look.

The result wasn’t heavy or overdone, just fresh, glowing and confidence-boosting—the essence of modern beauty. And with H Beauty backing Look Good Feel Better, the message is clear: makeup is more than surface deep. It’s about giving people back a sense of themselves, one brushstroke at a time.
