Make It a Perfect Day: Jessica Knappett Goes Live in Edinburgh for ENDO1000
Join the Taskmaster star and a surprise guest for a live podcast recording in support of game-changing endometriosis research.
Looking for a laugh, a little inspiration, and a seriously worthwhile cause? Perfect Day Live is landing in Edinburgh this August—and it’s everything a great Fringe afternoon should be.
On Tuesday 19 August, 3.30–4.30pm, comedian, actor and writer Jessica Knappett (Taskmaster, The Inbetweeners Movie, Drifters) will host a special live recording of her hit podcast Perfect Day at St Cecilia’s Hall: Concert Room & Music Museum. She’ll be joined by a mystery guest, promising an hour of unexpected stories, surreal routines and dreamy daily rituals.
But this isn’t just another comedy hour—it’s all in aid of something much bigger.
What Is ENDO1000?
1 in 10 women are affected by endometriosis, yet many wait 7 to 10 years for a diagnosis. ENDO1000 is a UK-wide research initiative aiming to change that.
The project will track 1,000 participants with endometriosis over a two-year period, collecting data through a custom-built app, smartwatches, and home-collected samples (blood, saliva, urine and stool). Using machine learning and AI, the data will help researchers uncover faster, more accurate diagnostic tools and improve treatment pathways.
Ticket sales from Perfect Day Live will go directly towards funding this vital research. So far, the ENDO1000 campaign has raised over £400,000 of its £1 million goal—with participant recruitment starting this September.
This event is part of a major awareness drive happening across social platforms and live events throughout the summer.
Why You Should Be There
Whether you’re a Fringe regular, a fan of Jessica’s irreverent humour, or simply want to support better women’s health, this is the kind of live show you’ll feel good about attending. Expect laughs, honesty, and one very good cause at the heart of it all.
