If we’re not mistaken, this time of year is prime time for curling up in front of the TV and binge watching your favourite shows. Grab a blanket and a cup of tea - it’s time to settle in for a marathon viewing session. What else would you be doing on these long, dark evenings?

If you’re in the mood to watch something new, here’s our pick of the shows you should be watching on Netflix right now.

El Camino

Consistently rated one of the best TV shows of all time, Breaking Bad always kept us on the edge of our seat. If you were left wondering what fate befell Jesse after leaving the great Heisenberg behind, wonder no more. Gripping feature-length thriller El Camino sees Aaron Paul reprise his iconic role, as Jesse escapes from captivity and has to come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.

Living with Yourself

The incredibly charming and eternally youthful Paul Rudd stars alongside himself (yes, really) in new Netflix Original, Living with Yourself. Struggling with his mediocre life, Miles undergoes an innovative spa treatment which promises to make him a better person - only to find he’s been replaced by a new and improved clone of himself. As he tries to deal with this unusual predicament, he must try to save his relationship with his wife, salvage his career and figure out his very identity.

The Crown

Olivia Colman steps in to Claire Foy’s shoes to take over the role as Queen Elizabeth II in the third season of The Crown and we are so damn excited. Already huge fans of Colman (did you see her Oscars speech?) we just know this series is going to be great. Joining Colman this season is the marvellous Helena Bonham Carter and we are so excited to see the two come together as the most famous royal sisters of all time. You’ll have to wait a few more weeks but, come November 17, we know you'll be glued to the screen. In the meantime, catch up with the previous seasons so you’re fully up to speed.

Unbelievable

Unbelievable really is unbelievable. It’s a slow burner but an absolutely crucial watch. Toni Colette and Merritt Wever are both phenomenal in telling the true story of a teen who retracts her rape statement only for the two detectives to uncover a whole host of awful evidence. This mini-series is a brilliantly gripping watch, we’d highly recommend it for a Friday night on the sofa.

Raising Dion

This charming series follows the story of a single mum raising her son, Dion, after the death of her husband. Things begin to get weird when Dion’s normal everyday life starts to manifest several magical, superhero-like abilities. Striving to keep her son’s gifts a secret, Nicole must protect Dion from exploitation whilst trying to explain the origin of her husband’s death. Raising Dion is a family friendly sci-fi that’s fun and gives us some throwback ‘90s Matilda vibes.

Fractured

This spooky thriller had us on the edge of our seat. When his wife and daughter go missing in the hospital they’re being treated in, things start to escalate when Ray, exhausted in the hospital waiting area, wakes from a nap and discovers the hospital has no record of them ever being there… As this terrible turn of events gets increasingly worse, we discover the truth and the real reason for the confusion.

Gilmore Girls

And oldie but a goodie, Gilmore Girls is the ultimate feelgood show to get you in the mood for autumn – and luckily, all seven series (and the more recent A Year in the Life sequel) are available to binge on Netflix. Mother and daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory, navigate life and love in their small New England town of Stars Hollow, with plenty of quirky characters, witty dialogue and a whole heap of seasonal charm along the way.
