Get the look: autumn’s top street style trends

This season’s top trends are set to become autumn style staples in our wardrobes for years to come. Our favourite influencers and street style fashionistas are giving us all the AW trend inspo - no matter how old you are or what your style preference is, there is absolutely something for everyone to give your wardrobe a little oomph.

Puffer COats

The first time we saw these was back in the '90s when Urban Street Wear became a thing - something switched and no longer were puffers just for keeping warm in the winter. They made their way on to the catwalk and have very much stayed there. This year, they really have had a comeback of epic proportions, loved by celebs, our favourite Instagrammers as well as your friendly local mum, ‘cos lets face it, they’re still keeping us warmer than your average anorak. Take a peek at the top three we are loving right now…

Plaid

Much like the lovely Hannah here, we love plaid. Stereotypical of our Scottish roots? Maybe, yes, but who doesn’t love a good check this time of year? It’s one of the few trends you can guarantee will be on rotation, year after year. The great thing about plaid is that it lends itself so well to so many different pieces. Skirts? Sure. Blazer? Why on earth not. Plaid will literally take on any form you want it to, and that’s why it’s one of our favourite trends for AW19.

Tiny bags

Practical they are not, but teeny, tiny bags are making us ‘oohh’ and ‘ahhh’ as much as the next gal. They’re cute, stylish and can really finish off an outfit. We love how the gorgeous Jenna has styled her mini Chloe with her plaid suit. Wear with oversized dresses and boots for a understated evening look, or with tailored trousers and your favourite blouse for evening drinks, when all you really need to carry is some extra lippy.

White Boots

Winter white is having a moment this year and we’re here for it, especially when it comes to boots. Not a colour usually associated with footwear in the winter but this year, the white boot is coming in all shapes and sizes. Stomping boots, cowboy boots, knee high boots, you name it, white is very much the colour of the season. Styled with your plaid dress or worn with kick flare jeans, a good pair of white boots will elevate an outfit and give it that extra sumthin’ sumthin’.
