To celebrate 10 years of Christmas at the Botanics, Hood has teamed up with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh to give four lucky winners the chance to enjoy one of the capital’s best-loved festive experiences.

Edinburgh’s winter nights are about to get a little brighter. Christmas at the Botanics returns from 19th November to 30th December 2026, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special illuminated trail through the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

This year’s trail brings together some familiar favourites and spectacular new installations. The much-loved Christmas Cathedral and Fire Garden return, while a new projection across Inverleith House will bring historic botanical illustrations from the Garden’s archives to life.

Ten remarkable trees will also take centre stage, each marking a decade of festive celebrations at the Botanics.

And we have four rather lovely prizes to give away.

  • First Prize: A Signature Dining Experience for two, worth £178.

  • Second Prize: A family ticket for two adults and two children, worth £89.

  • Third Prize: A pair of tickets, worth £52.

  • Fourth Prize: A pair of tickets, worth £52.

  • To enter, participants must answer the competition question correctly and agree to newsletters from Hood and partners.

  • The competition closes at 11.59pm on Wednesday 18th November, 2026.

  • The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received before the closing date.

  • The winners will be notified by email within seven days of the closing date. If the winners cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within seven days, Hood Magazine reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

  • The winner will be contacted by a representative of Hood Magazine to arrange the prize.

  • The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any alternative prize.
