The Hood x Spoiled Life Autumn Brunch
Fashion, friends, brunch and a little new-season shopping — our Sunday at Rusacks St Andrews was exactly the sort of afternoon we love.
There are worse ways to spend a Sunday than with good clothes, good food and a room full of women ready to talk about both.
Last weekend, Hood joined forces with Spoiled Life for an autumn fashion brunch at The Bridge at Rusacks St Andrews, bringing together readers, friends of the magazine and some of our favourite new-season pieces for an afternoon that felt every bit as relaxed as we had hoped.
The day began with a fashion and lifestyle conversation led by Hood editor Emma-Kate Miller, talking through the new season and the pieces worth paying attention to now. Then it was time for brunch, with looks from Spoiled Life taking to the floor while musician Kory Buckingham provided a beautiful live clarsach soundtrack.
And because seeing clothes properly — moving, styled and worn by real women — is infinitely more useful than simply scrolling through them online, there was plenty to add to the autumn wish list.
After brunch, everyone headed back to Spoiled Life for drinks, shopping and the chance to take a closer look at the pieces they had just seen.
There was also a little ManHood moment, with menswear appearing alongside the womenswear edit, making the afternoon feel very much like the wider Hood family coming together.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to the teams at Spoiled Life and Rusacks St Andrews, and to everyone behind the scenes who made the afternoon happen.
