Aberdeen’s food scene is preparing for its biggest celebration yet as Aberdeen Restaurant Weeks returns with a record-breaking line-up — officially making it the largest restaurant weeks event in Scotland.

A boost for the city’s hospitality scene
Shona Byrne, project manager for Aberdeen Restaurant Weeks, says the overwhelming response from venues shows just how valuable the event has become. Restaurants were getting in touch even before the dates were officially announced — a clear sign of the impact Foodie Fortnight has on businesses across the city.
“It’s a real showcase for everything that’s great about Aberdeen’s hospitality scene,” she said. “And it’s a huge driver for encouraging people back into the city centre to discover new favourites alongside much-loved spots.”
Real results for local restaurants
Those who’ve taken part before are already seeing the benefits.
Wild Ginger on Union Street joined for the first time last year and saw consistently busy services throughout the promotion, alongside glowing feedback from diners.
Meanwhile, Maggie’s Grill is making its Restaurant Weeks debut this February — and is promising exclusive discounted menus designed to let guests sample as much of their signature soul food as possible.
“It’s an initiative that really shines a spotlight on city centre hospitality,” said director Richard Parfitt. “We’re proud to be part of it.”
The return of the Secret Suppers
One of the most anticipated highlights is back too — the Secret Suppers.
Taking place on 25 and 26 February and 5 March, these unique dining experiences will see guests discover their location and menu only on the day. Set in unusual spaces — some with real historical significance — each supper will celebrate locally sourced ingredients from land and sea.
Tickets are £65 per person, with limited availability expected to sell out quickly.
