Rituals Opens New Edinburgh Store at the Gyle

The new Rituals Edinburgh Gyle boutique has arrived – bringing a very welcome dose of beauty, fragrance and luxury to the shopping centre.

The Gyle has been crying out for a little injection of newness, and this week it got a particularly good one.

Rituals opened the doors to its new Edinburgh boutique at The Gyle Shopping Centre yesterday, 26th August, and we popped in on opening day for a first look. Our verdict? It’s a gorgeous space – calm, beautifully designed and packed with all the bath, body, skincare and home fragrance treats you’d expect from the brand.

A welcome new arrival at The Gyle

There’s no getting away from the fact that The Gyle has felt a little tired in recent years, so the arrival of a brand such as Rituals feels like exactly the sort of injection the centre needs.

The new boutique has the full Rituals experience, from its instantly recognisable home fragrances and scented candles to skincare, body care, bath products, gift sets and those wonderfully indulgent foaming shower gels.

And, yes, you absolutely need to stop at the beautiful sink and try everything. Testing, smelling and finding the collection that suits you is half the fun.

Store manager Lochlan, who has moved across from Rituals at St James Quarter, is heading up the new boutique, and when we visited on opening day there was a real sense of excitement from him and his new team about becoming part of The Gyle.

Everyday luxury

The store has been designed around the Rituals philosophy of turning everyday routines into more mindful moments – something that extends beyond beauty into fragrance and lifestyle.

Annemarie Forsyth, Managing Director of Rituals Cosmetics UK & Ireland, said: “Our aim is to bring moments of calm and connection into everyday life. Thoughtfully curated, our bath, body, and home collections are crafted to support wellbeing and encourage mindful living, even during the busiest days.”

And while we’re not sure a shopping trip can ever be classed as meditation, spending rather too long smelling your way through the Rituals collections comes pretty close.

Opening celebrations this Saturday

If you haven’t been in yet, Saturday 29 August could be a good day to rectify that, with Rituals marking the opening with a series of special offers.

The first 50 customers to make a purchase will receive an exclusive goodie bag, while shoppers spending more than £45 will receive a free mini reed diffuser. Rituals’ foaming shower gels will also be available for £8.50, reduced from £10.90.
